Canucks Get Past Maine for 2-1 Win
|
The Moose Jaw Canucks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Aldo Buyse, who muffled the Maine offense en route to a tight 2-1 Canucks win at Foresters Stadium. The winner in relief was Raúl Gómez. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Maine falls to 7-3.
Anthony Parker aided the Moose Jaw cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 3 trips to the plate.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Moose Jaw manager Dan Fletcher said.
