Fire Roll to 8-3 Win Over Interns

The Franklin Fire stopped the Capital Hill Interns, 8-3, at Lawmen Ballpark. The Fire got a big game from Tomás Lanoin, who was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Kelly St. John. He's now 2-0. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits for the Fire. Kaong Xú finished the game for Franklin and earned his 1st save.
Having an impact for Franklin was Jud Brown. In the bottom of the third inning, the 21-year old shortstop had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 3-1, Fire.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Lanoin told the Franklin Daily News.
At 5-1, the Fire have played well so far.
