Baby Lakers Beat Angel Kitties, 10-2
|
Bompton starter Quinton Lee kept the Bethlehem hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 10-2. In 7.2 innings, Lee surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. With the victory, the Baby Lakers record now stands at 26-21.
Paco Madrid was a prime contributor to the Bompton win. He was 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second with one out, the 21-year old second baseman hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Baby Lakers.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Lee told the Bompton Chronicle. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
