Warheads Get One-Run Win at Northwest Territory
|
The Amarillo Warheads dealt the Northwest Territory Beavers a 5-4 loss at Beaver Town. Pedro González was the star on offense. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Amarillo reliever Michihiro Watanabe was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ricardo Aguirre took the loss. Marc Potts recorded the save for Amarillo, his 2nd of the season.
In the top of the first, Louis Bletsoe pounced on a fastball from Ricardo Aguirre and hit a 2-run single. It gave Amarillo a quick 2-0 lead.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Bletsoe said.
The win moves Amarillo to a record of 2-1.
