In a low-scoring affair between the Hicksville Hounds and the Flint Crush, pitcher Luis Martínez was the difference between victory and defeat. The Hicksville right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 Hounds win. Jason Ford locked down his 2nd save. Hicksville has an impressive 29-14 record.

The Hounds got a big at-bat from second baseman Pedro Rodríguez. For the game, Rodríguez went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Hicksville a 2-1 lead.

Martínez told a Hicksville Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
