Williams Excels, But Baby Lakers Win
|
The Bompton Baby Lakers outlasted Bob Williams and the Germantown Uruguayans, 8-6. Williams was impressive in the loss. The Germantown designated hitter went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Germantown's current losing streak is now 6 games.
With two out in the top of the seventh, Héctor Rea had a game-changing hit. The Baby Lakers third baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Paul Glover, making the score 8-6, Bompton.
"Enjoyed this one," Rea told the Bompton Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
