Montana third baseman Yeow-whye Zhu had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Pittsburgh at Panda Park. Zhu went 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Larry Benítez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Gary Ashley was tagged with the loss. At 15-21, the Kingfishers are currently 8th in the Silver League.

Pittsburgh relied on the bat of Luis Pamparacuatro to get the win. The second baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 5-3. For the game, Pamparacuatro had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
