Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Shan Gui, the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish defeated the Hicksville Hounds, 5-1. Gui went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Puffer Fish. Ji-chor Ho recorded the save for Plattsburgh, his 3rd of the season. Plattsburgh now has a record of 23-13 with the win.
Iván Marrero took Wan-hua Yi deep in the top of the third. His 2-run home run put the Puffer Fish on top, 2-0. In all, Marrero had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
Marrero told a Plattsburgh Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
