Angel Kitties Top Baby Lakers, 6-3
|
The 6-3 Bethlehem win over Bompton was due largely to Gustavo Pérez. The Angel Kitties center fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Bethlehem pitcher Roger Raper got the win. He's now 1-5. Hang-ki Cong was tagged with the loss. Matt Smith got the save, the 5th for him this season.
The Angel Kitties took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Bompton hurler Hang-ki Cong with two outs, Pérez hit a 2-run single.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Pérez told the Bethlehem News.
The win has Bethlehem at 7-20.
