Extra-Inning Win by Hounds Over Tigers

The Hicksville Hounds faced a tough opponent in Twinsburg pitcher Octávio Bernard, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dodge Field by a final score of 9-2. Bernard went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Patrick Bryant got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Hicksville is now 20-5, 2 games up in the Silver Low A.
Hicksville used the clutch hitting of Nelson Fernández to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hounds ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Twinsburg manager Gilberto Chávez.
