Flint Gets 7-6 Win
|
Grady Livingston impressed in the 7-6 Flint win over Germantown. Livingston went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. John Sackett, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-2. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 5. Getting the save was Tepoea Nohokai, his 3rd.
Livingston contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Flint in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Livingston took a slider from Yves Hubert and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Crush to leap in front, 4-2.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Livingston.
Flint, with the win, is 7-17.
