Tight Tilt Goes to Otters, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Tulsa Otters and the Athletic Club KC U-21, pitcher Mitchell Strong was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tulsa right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Otters win. Strong got the win, improving to 2-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Strong allowed 2 runs. The Otters raised their record to 33-54.
It could have been a different outcome for Tulsa, had it not been for Lawrence Walker, the 20-year old third baseman . Walker contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the seventh inning to put Tulsa up, 3-2.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Otters manager Luis Díaz. "This one was nice to get."
