Bullets Deal Lakers 1-0 Loss
|
The Baltimore Bullets did just enough to secure a victory over the Echo Park Lakers, 1-0, at Baltimore Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Paul Haines. Carroll Kelly, 3-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Bullets have now won 4 straight.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 13th, an error by the Lakers allowed the Bullets to score the winning run.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck.
