Thrilling Victory Pushes Tigers Win Streak to 5
|
The Twinsburg Tigers topped the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Ziad Fakhir. Fakhir went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Tigers on the day. The Tigers, now 9-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
The result might have been different, had it not been for Damien Judkins, the Twinsburg left fielder. Judkins had a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tigers ahead, 4-3. For the game, Judkins had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Fakhir told the Twinsburg Daily News. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
