Rhinos Cut Down Octopi, 5-2

Redwood took on Ogallala in front of a lively crowd.
The Redwood Rhinos got a stellar effort from pitcher Brian Ricks, helping Redwood score a win over the visiting Ogallala Octopi, 5-2. Redwood raised its record to 40-32 with the win.
Fred Christensen came through for Redwood in the bottom of the second. With one out, Christensen victimized Alberto Nieves with a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put Redwood on top, 2-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Redwood skipper Dave Parrish.
