The Ogallala Octopi overcame a fine performance by Redwood designated hitter Flobert Immerrechts to defeat the Rhinos, 6-5, at The Zoo. Immerrechts went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Gregg Butler in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Wu-jiang Louis took the loss. Doug Owen collected save number 8.

Zi-xing Juan, who is tied for 4th in the PA- in triples with 6, contributed to the Ogallala win with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Redwood manager Dave Parrish. "But we decided not to take it."

The Octopi saw their record improve to 31-40.
