Uruguayans Take Down Baby Lakers, 4-3
|
Germantown picked up a win at Field of the Browns, toppling the Bompton Baby Lakers, 4-3. Pitcher Gerardo Pimentel was one of the reasons the Uruguayans triumphed. Víctor Valdés picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Norberto González was tagged with the loss. The win puts Germantown at 3-3.
Germantown used the clutch hitting of Aldo Consolao to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Uruguayans ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
After the game, Germantown manager Júlio Aguirre applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
