Led by Leon Wright, the Beaumont Crossbeaus defeated the Athletic Club KC U-21, 6-5. Wright was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Crossbeaus. Beaumont starter Ricardo Romo was credited with the win after throwing 114 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 4-4. The Crossbeaus saw their win-loss record go to 28-40. "We took advantage of our opportunities," Wright told the Beaumont Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
