The Ogallala Octopi got a superb performance from center fielder Ju-ho Hwang, but the Fort Knox Centennial still won the game, 4-1. Hwang went 1 for 1 with a double and 2 walks. Fort Knox reliever Deron Taylor was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Dionísio Zagallo took the loss. Jeff Cook, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.

Making an impact for the home team was Gabriel Tobías. In the bottom of the second, the 20-year old first baseman had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 3-1, Centennial.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Tobías told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."

With the victory, the Centennial upped their record to 39-29.
