Behind a fine performance from Ron Drinkwater, the Athletic Club KC U-21 knocked off the Tulsa Otters, 8-3. Drinkwater was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the U-21. Athletic Club KC pitcher David Reyes got the win. He's now 2-1. Jesús Rosas was tagged with the loss. Athletic Club KC is now 44-22, 4½ games up in the Premier Low A.

Athletic Club KC used the timely hitting of Joe Matthews to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the U-21 on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We maximized our offense today," said Athletic Club KC skipper Frank Jackson. "That makes everyone's life easier."
