Rhinos Topple Centennial, 8-4, as Dalby Shines
|
Charles Dalby left his imprint on the 8-4 Redwood win against the Fort Knox Centennial. Dalby, who is tied for 6th in the PA- in triples with 4, was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Kjeld van de Brekel snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed 2 runs on 6 hits. He's now 3-2 on the season. Bob Powell was credited with the save for Redwood, his 12th of the season.
Dalby had a clutch at-bat in the top of the seventh for the Rhinos. Coming up with the bases loaded and Redwood trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Dalby said. "We did a good job of that today."
The Rhinos sit in 5th place in the Premier Low A with a record of 30-28.
