Walleye Edge Chukars, 1-0
|
Fans watched the Walla Walla Walleye and the Idaho Falls Chukars fight to the finish.
Walla Walla starter Stan Malone put a stranglehold on the Idaho Falls offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Walleye to a 1-0 win. José Rodríguez was credited with the save for Walla Walla, his 2nd of the season.
In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Idaho Falls allowed the Walleye to go up, 1-0, on a Idaho Falls error.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Malone.
With the win, Walla Walla pushed its record to 51-41.
