The Chicago Tula got a superb performance from pitcher Chet Goode. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Myrtle Beach. The Seahawks won the game, 5-3. Goode threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The 4th-place Seahawks are 46-37.

Dave Alexander electrified the crowd in the bottom of the 12th when he took Chicago pitcher Shaun Wormington deep. His 2-run home run sent the Seahawks home winners.

Alexander called the triumph "a good team win."
