McCarthy Helps Laredo Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Laredo Hawks had no problem beating the South Beach Blaze, 12-3, at The Ballpark on the Beach. Rick McCarthy led the way. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for Laredo. Richard Wood finished to wrap up his 2nd save. South Beach's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Early in the game, McCarthy had a 2-run double for Laredo. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Hawks on top, 3-1.

"I still think this team can play even better," McCarthy told the Laredo Today.
