Crossbeaus Eke Out 3-2 Win Versus Fort Knox

The Target was the site of a competitive game between the Fort Knox Centennial and Beaumont Crossbeaus.
The Beaumont Crossbeaus faced a tough opponent in Fort Knox pitcher Aaron Houghton, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Target by a final score of 3-2. Houghton went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Earning his 6th save for Beaumont was Casey Parsons.
In the bottom of the 6th, left fielder Cheol-chung Yi gave Beaumont the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Crossbeaus had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Fort Knox pitcher Dave Pickett changed that -- and Beaumont went on to win.
Fort Knox manager Justin Saginov said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The 9th-place Crossbeaus raised their record to 10-14.
