Flanderses Get One-Run Win at Redwood
|
The Hudsonville Flanderses downed the Redwood Rhinos, 4-3, at The Zoo. The Flanderses were led by Andrew Brown. He went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Hudsonville reliever José Benítez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Kjeld van de Brekel took the loss. Redwood's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Hudsonville used the timely hitting of José Rosário to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Flanderses on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Brown.
