The Athletic Club KC U-21 defeated the Ogallala Octopi, 3-2, in USPL Low A action at Nebraska Aquarium. Athletic Club KC pitcher Bruce Viera had a standout performance. Ogallala falls to 3-3.
In the top of the second, Athletic Club KC second baseman Héctor Aranda had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, Aranda stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-1, Athletic Club KC. For the game, he went 1 for 4.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Ogallala skipper Luis Muñóz.
