The Kent Comets scored a tight 4-3 win versus the Delmarva Gallos at The Cage. Kent pitcher Octávio Bernard held his own in the contest. Shang-de Rang, credited with the save, is now 7 for 7 in save opportunities. Kent has an impressive 63-32 record.
Kent used a clutch hit from Jorge Jáquez to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Comets ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
Jáquez told a Kent Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
