Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Seahawks
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks and Caldwell Chiefs played an exciting game.

The Myrtle Beach Seahawks picked up a win at Pipers Ballpark, knocking off the Caldwell Chiefs, 4-2. Starting pitcher Robert Brewer was a big reason why. Alonso Salazar earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 5-1.

Myrtle Beach needed the clutch hitting of Richard Howell to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Seahawks on top, 4-2. For the game, Howell had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Afterward, Howell deflected to his teammates. "Heck of an effort all around," he said.

The triumph puts Myrtle Beach at 33-27 for the season.
