Sandoval Sends Walla Walla Bats to Deep Freeze
|
In a remarkable performance, Idaho Falls Chukars starter Carlos Sandoval beat the Walla Walla Walleye 1-0 in an impressive 6-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Chukars hurler finished with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Walla Walla manager Calvin Beck said following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
To this point in the season Sandoval has 4 wins and 3 losses and a 3.64 ERA.
