Blue Dragons Come Up Short at Kent, 5-4
The Kent Comets defeated the Levittown Blue Dragons, 5-4. Doing his part was designated hitter Jorge Galló, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Al Moore, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 11-2. Micheal Ford got the save, his 7th in 8 chances.

The Comets got a big hit from third baseman Benjamin Burrell. In the bottom of the fifth, Burrell pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 4th double of the season put the Comets ahead, 5-4.

"I felt good up there," said Burrell. "I saw the ball well."

The triumph puts Kent at 55-29 for the season.
