Yucca Valley Yellows starter David Ferguson pitched a strong game against the Delmarva Gallos at Ballpark of Yucca Valley, leading the Yellows to victory, 6-3. Yucca Valley is now 44-34.

Tied up with the Gallos in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Yellows got a boost from catcher Javier Chávez. With the bases loaded, Chávez saw a first pitch sinker from Kyle Williams and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Yucca Valley on top, 3-1.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Ferguson. "Successful pitchers do it."
