Late Magic Gets Long Island 6-3 Win
|
The Baltimore Bullets got a superb performance from pitcher Jeremy Brody. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Long Island. The Lighthouse won the game, 6-3. Brody threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Miguel Rodríguez finished the game for Long Island and earned his 5th save. The Lighthouse raised their record to 9-6.
Long Island used the timely hitting of Krystof Melichar to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lighthouse on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Melichar called the triumph "a good team win."
