|
César Pinto was locked and loaded, helping the South Beach Blaze beat the Eugene Vandals, 3-0. Jeff Floyd collected his 2nd save. The loss makes Eugene 14-19.
South Beach got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Orlando Figoroa. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blaze ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it had a major impact on the outcome.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Aaron Barnes. "That was the problem."
