Thrilling Victory Pushes Godfathers Win Streak to 8
|
The Lake Erie Arryns got a superb performance from pitcher Fei Mo. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pontiac. The Godfathers won the game, 5-4. Mo threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Pontiac reliever Ray Wright picked up the win, upping his record to 8-4. Jesús Guevara took the loss. Claudio Aguilar got credit for the save for Pontiac. It was his 19th of the year.
Zachary Spilsbury contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the seventh. With a runner on 2nd, he reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Pontiac get the win.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Spilsbury.
The winning streak has now reached 8 games for the Godfathers.
