Laredo first baseman Matsusuke Saikawa helped his team beat the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 9-4. Saikawa, who is tied for 2nd in the PA in home runs with 9, went 1 for 3 for the Hawks. The Hawks, at 19-10, lead by one game in their division.

In the bottom of the first, Calvin Chappell hit a 2-run home run. The 5th home run of the season for the Laredo third baseman put the Hawks on top, 2-0.
