There was no shortage of dramatics at The Ballpark on the Beach.

The South Beach Blaze scored a tight 7-6 win versus the Laredo Hawks at The Ballpark on the Beach. South Beach pitcher César Pinto held his own in the contest. The Blaze now have a record of 15-12 with the win over Laredo.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 11th, an error by the Hawks allowed the Blaze to score the winning run.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said South Beach field general Vicente Rodríguez.
