Butler, Hawks Get Tidy 2-1 Win Over Chicago
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Laredo Hawks eventually prevailed.
The Laredo Hawks got a stellar performance from pitcher George Butler, who handcuffed the Chicago offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Ramblers Ballpark. The victory gives Laredo a record of 14-7.
The Tula had trouble solving Butler, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 7.1 innings.
"We found a way to get it done," Butler said.
