Dominant Performance by Enríquez in South Beach Win
|
South Beach Blaze starter Jorge Enríquez hurled his team past the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 4-0. The last-place Hobeaus have lost 11 consecutive games.
Enríquez's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 4 hits. Enríquez, who is rated as the 50th best prospect by BNN, goes to 1-2 on the year with 27 strikeouts.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Hiroji Nakagawa, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
