Seahawks Take Nail-Biter Over Hawks
|
The 5-4 Myrtle Beach win over Laredo was due in large part to Eric Fisher. The Seahawks third baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Sergio Rocha earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Myrtle Beach now has a record of 7-8.
Fisher won the game for Myrtle Beach when homered off Dan Watson in the bottom of the tenth.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Laredo manager Marv Bradford. "But we decided not to take it."
