Lighthouse Nip White Walkers, 3-2

The Long Island Lighthouse eked out a 3-2 win versus the Buffalo White Walkers at The Lighthouse. Nobody did more than pitcher Manuel Martínez. He was terrific. Harvey Wyles earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Jacob Sinclair recorded his 3rd save for Long Island.
Habib Othman, who is tied for 5th in the SL in stolen bases with 7, contributed to the Long Island win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Othman said.
With the win, Long Island lifts its record to 7-5.
