Laredo wasted a solid 6.1-inning effort from starting pitcher Kevin Thornton, losing to Myrtle Beach, 2-1, at Seahwaks Stadium. Myrtle Beach goes to 6-8.

In the bottom of the sixth, Myrtle Beach right fielder Richard Howell hit a two-strike changeup to right field for a solo home run. It put the Seahawks up, 2-1.
