Tula Take Down Walleye, 3-2
|
The Chicago Tula took Walla Walla pitcher Bob Brown's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Walleye Tank. The final score had Chicago getting past the Walleye, 3-2. Brown went 8 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 3. The win gives Chicago a record of 6-2.
Chicago used a clutch hit from Josh Heathershaw to snatch the win. The designated hitter belted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Tula ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Heathershaw. "I like it."
