The Laredo Hawks had to overcome a good performance from Caldwell pitcher Norberto Dávila to claim a 3-2 win at Hawks Field. Dávila went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Laredo reliever Michael Donovan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Baltwin Bartels was saddled with the loss. The loss puts Caldwell at 3-5.

Calvin Chappell contributed to the Laredo win with a 2-run single in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
