The Laredo Hawks picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, knocking off the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 4-0. Starting pitcher Kevin Horton played a key role in the triumph. Michael Donovan picked up the save, his 2nd. Laredo is off to a hot start at 4-2.

Horton delivered a quality start for Laredo. The 6' 3" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 8.2 innings of work.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Horton told the Laredo Today.
