Paul Allen pitched well, but his team, the Pontiac Godfathers, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Yucca Valley Yellows at Pontiac Copperdome. Javier Rúbio picked up the save, his 10th. Yucca Valley now has a 3-game win streak.

It could have been a different outcome for Yucca Valley, had it not been for Wilton Meadows, the 22-year old center fielder . Meadows contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Yucca Valley up, 2-1.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Meadows.
