The Levittown Blue Dragons got a sterling performance from pitcher Doug Santamarina, but the Kent Comets still prevailed, 1-0. Santamarina threw 7.0 innings of 1-hit ball. Kent pitcher Ricardo Ramírez got the win, upping his record to 4-1. Doug Santamarina got the loss. The Comets improved to a lofty 39-15.

Kent used the timely hitting of Duncan Taylor to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Comets on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Levittown manager Terry King.
