The Kent Comets got a stellar effort from pitcher Al Moore, helping Kent score a win over the visiting Huntington Hermit Crabs, 5-1. The save was credited to Micheal Ford, his 3rd. The win lifted the Kent record to 35-10.

Keith Garner broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the third with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Comets in front, 1-0. For the game, Garner was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"It feels good to get this one," Moore told the Kent Observer.
