Yellows Beat Pontiac, 6-5

The Yucca Valley Yellows wiggled past the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-5, at Pontiac Copperdome. The win was highlighted by the performance of Yucca Valley pitcher Sun-ho Yang. The win belongs to Javier Rúbio in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Claudio Aguilar took the loss for Pontiac. Yucca Valley has a record of 27-17, placing them second in the Silver A.
The Yellows beat the Godfathers with some clutch hitting. The single by Ron Stevenson in the top of the 12th is a good example. With two down, Stevenson gave his team the lead, 6-5, when he came through with the big hit.
"There's no quit in this team," said Yellows manager Pat Carrasco.
