In a low-scoring affair between the Grand Forks Caterpillars and the Yucca Valley Yellows, pitcher Callum Rollings was the difference between victory and defeat. The Grand Forks left-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Caterpillars win. The Caterpillars raised their record to 16-26.

Had Carlos Gómez not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Gómez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Caterpillars.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Grand Forks manager Craig Stewart said.
